Recently, one of my former clients called me asking if I heard the e-mail going around. I had no idea what he was talking about. But apparently, someone hacked into my e-mail and sent a message to everyone in my contacts list with a message that I was in Nigeria and was robbed and needed a “soft loan”. I tried opening my e-mail, and guess what? I could’nt open it. They changed my password as well! I guess they were going to use it to send directions for anyone who was going to fall for it.
Fortunately, I was able to open my e-mail using the “hints”, and change my password. I sent everyone an e-mail regarding the “Scam”. I have a new e-mail adress now too.
People really have no conscience at all. These guys that do these Scams for a living.
I hope this experience will warn other people of Scams like this.
